Harimau jadian or the weretiger, although sounds like the werewolf it is quite different. To begin with, Harimau Jadian in the Malay folklore is type of knowledge passed down from generation to change the appearance the user into a humanoid tiger or an actual tiger. It used the knowledge with the of the devil or jin for it to worked. The knowledge is mainly used to help the user to defend itself or even to hurt others. It usually used in the old times, by the Malay’s King for generations as the knowledge is passed from their past generation. When the user transforms into the weretiger itself it strengthens the user ability and can hurt anyone badly. However, this knowledge is shirked among Islamic religion where most of the Malay community. However, some said that this knowledge is used to protect their lands or for self defense merely. As said, this knowledge is mainly used in the old times as the world now moved to the modern era where the then the user used to worship the tiger spirit and read spells. They also give offering to the tiger spirit such as sticky yellow rice, an omelet, three raw eggs and many more.
